Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicidal crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help.

QPR is a nationally recognized suicide prevention training researched and developed by Paul Quinnett, PhD, a clinical psychologist and founder of the QPR Institute, (www.qprinstitute.com). The program was created for every-day citizens, and requires no clinical training or education.
