QPR stands for Question, Persuade, Refer – 3 simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide. Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade and refer someone to the help they need. QPR, from the QPR Institute has been researched and proven to be effective. It is listed on the National Registry of Evidence-Based Practices and Polices (NREPP).

QPR trainings are 1.5 hours to 2 hours in length and are offered by the CCSP Task Force members who are certified QPR instructors at no cost to participants.
